Can You Still? is built by one developer and designed to collect as little about you as possible.

Camera

Some challenges use your camera to check whether you performed a movement. Video is analysed live, on your device, using Apple's Vision framework. Frames are held in memory only for as long as it takes to measure them, and are then discarded.

No photo or video is ever recorded, saved to your device, or transmitted to us or to anyone else. The app has no facility to upload them, because it has no server.

Face data

Can You Still? does not collect, store, use, share, sell or retain face data of any kind.

The app uses only Apple's VNDetectHumanBodyPoseRequest, a body-pose API that returns the approximate positions of body joints such as shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. The app does not use face detection, face landmark detection, facial geometry, face recognition, TrueDepth face mapping or ARKit face tracking. It does not create, derive or store a face map, faceprint or any other facial template.

Apple's body-pose skeleton includes a single “nose” point, which the app reads only as a rough head-height reference when checking whether your hands are raised above your head. It is one x/y coordinate. It contains no facial features, cannot be used to recognise or identify anyone, is never linked to any identifier, and is discarded together with the rest of the frame within a fraction of a second.

Nothing derived from the camera, including body-joint positions, is written to storage, added to a profile, or transmitted off your device. It is never shared with any third party. There is no retention period because nothing is retained: the app has no server and no facility to upload camera data. All processing happens on your device, in memory, and ends the moment the movement check ends.

Motion sensors

One challenge uses your device's accelerometer and gyroscope to measure balance instead of the camera. That data is processed on your device and is never transmitted.

Your progress

Your streak, completed days and collected animals are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard app storage. They are not sent to us and they are not backed up to any service we control. Deleting the app deletes this data permanently — we have no copy and cannot restore it for you.

Purchases

Optional subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to determine whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and your subscription status. It does not receive your name, email address or Apple ID.

Apple handles all payment details. We never see your payment information.

Analytics and tracking

None. The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use the advertising identifier.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request. All of your data lives on your device and is entirely under your control.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
